Cost Per Click program by Media Whiz

I was on John Chow’s blog earlier and saw ‘Ads by ShoppingAds’. This was quite interesting as Auction Ads is not doing very well for me currently. I went to the Shopping Ads website and it says they are currently doing the beta testing. The colors and style looks very similar to Auction Ads and I thought of checking this out. After checking the whois for domain name shoppingads.com, I discovered that this is owned by Patrick Gavin the same guy who owns Auction Ads and Text Link Ads.

After doing some more research, I came across a post here. The post says that Auction Ads will be out and there is a new program which is out. Unlike Auction Ads, Shopping Ads is a pay per click program which means a publisher will be paid once a visitor clicks on an ad. In Auction Ads you get commission when someone buys a product on eBay. I don’t understand the logic replacing Auction Ads with Shopping Ads when both the programs are different. There has been no official message saying that Auction Ads will close nor do I feel they are going to close the CPA program. I guess this is another program by Media Whiz with Text Link Ads and Auction Ads. This certainly gives a good alternative to people looking for an AdSense alternative.

The bad news is that ShoppingAds isn´t getting any clicks.

Which is kind of “funny” since the ads look the same as the AuctionAds ones that got tons of clicks. I have an interesting post about this in my blog.
