Making money with eBay can be easy if you proper research and tools are used. You can either make money by referring people to eBay or by actually selling products on eBay. Many of us are using the affiliate method to make money from eBay. The other method where much more money can be made is by actually selling products on eBay. I know most of you would not read this post further as you think selling products is not your cup of tea. If you are one of those people then this post is for you.
I am going to show you a method where you can sell products without even touching the product. This is called the dropshipping method. Dropshipping means listing a product on a site like eBay and then selling/shipping the product to the buyer through a third party. I have tried some of such methods but did not really succeed. Recently, I came across a dropshipping company with whom I am making good profits. I am in India but I am selling products to people in the US sitting here on my PC. This is an entire new business for me and I am spening most of time time selling products on eBay.
The dropshipping company I am referring to is Doba. You need not look or research for any other dropshipping company as I have already done this work for you. The best thing about Doba is that it gives you a 7 day free trial during which you can sell any product and make money. I sold an Nokia N96 during the trial period itself and made $35 in profit. Doba tells you their price + shipping, you can add your profit over it and list the product. During my research, I have seen that the other dropshipping companies have lot of shipping problems and the product costs are high due to which selling the product on eBay becomes impossible.
Here is how the entire method with Doba dropshipping and eBay works:
1. Do some research and decide to sell a product on eBay. Lets take an example of XYZ phone.
2. Check the completed listings on eBay and check the price at which the XYZ phone has been sold. Lets assume this price is $200.
3. Go to Doba, login to your account and check the price. Lets assume the price is $170 + $8 shipping.
4. This means you are getting the product for $178. Lets add a $4 listing fee for this on eBay.
5. So your product cost is now $182 and and people are buying the same product on eBay for $200. This means you are going to earn $18 on one product by doing nothing.
6. Lets assume that you list 10 such products. You are making a profit of $180 easily without doing much work.
8. Once your product is sold, all you have to do is ask Doba to ship the product and pay $178 per product.
Now, this is a small example I have provided. You can earn higher profits by selling costlier items. I have made a profit of $146 on a Macbook. It all depends on your research on what products are selling on eBay and at what cost. Also, eBay is not the only place to sell. You may sell it locally or on any other website if you can.

I’ve recently been looking into drop shipping as a way to make money from home. But after my experiences with eBay, I don’t think I’d want to sell there again. eBay just doesn’t seem to care about their sellers.

This is a great post. I have found that dropshipping is rather tricky to figure out on your own, so after much trial and error, I tried a dropshipper directory called wholesale match. They’ve been finding dropshippers for me and sending them to my email! It makes it so easy to dropship on ebay because I don’t have to waste my time looking for dropshippers. I recommend them to anyone and everyone.

eBay is not the place to make money dropshipping.
Some dropshippers may ship slow or be out of stock and so then you get customer complaints and boom, instant banned. eBay’s 5-star system tells buyers 4 starts is good, but if you get less than 4.4 ratings, they ban you.
But the real problem is that eBay forces you to use their scam payment system PayPal. So buyer pays you can their money gets a 21 day hold. Item is expensive and you can’t afford to pay your dropshipper. Or you take a loan to pay the dropshipper, item gets delivered before the 21 days are up and then immediately the buyer does a paypal dispute and does “not as described” and returns the box with a bunch of old newspapers so it weighs as much as with the item in but they keep the item.
Dropshipping is a good way to make money yes, but not on eBay, just the rest of the internet. Either use an ebay competitor e.g. http://www.randomplaza.com or on your own website and then put it on google base.
I talked about this blog entry with some people and I underestimated how much ebay is anti-drop shipper. eBay really hates dropshippers because they sell things you don’t have inventory for. Haha except for their diamond powerseller usernamed “buy” who let get away with no paying listing fees.
eBay is such a great place to make money online, but finding the products can be incredibly difficult, and can decrease your chances for success. I have been using wholesale match to sell products online. They have been great so far because I don\’t have to waste my valuable time doing pointless searching for dropshippers when they send them right to my email. I would never go back to the old way.

you are forgetting paypal fees + the final value fee + extras(pix,galler etc..). there are many fees with ebay. that being said, use this free ebay calculator to find out what the outcome will be before you start listing. do research on terapeak as well prior to sourcing to doba. Ebayers are very impatient people.shipping will be the real issue. the buyer will spend so much time emailing you crazy questions. one time I had to tell this lady that I did not have a concord plane in my backyard for her purchase. this is the calculator.
