Motorola’s Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra and Droid Mini smartphones for Verizon will soon be getting Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. However, the update will reflect in next few days to only those who have signed up for Motorola.
Motorola rolled out its trio of Droid devices last year and now an important software component is coming their way. Android 4.4.4 KitKat’s arrival came soon after the Nexus and Google Play Edition devices got the upgrade, offering Motorola a remarkable head start over rival manufacturer.
This trio of devices is limited to Verizon Wireless in the U.S. and the handsets have proved to be fairly popular, providing excellent specs at attractive price points. For instance Droid Maxx has been highly praised for its battery capacity, as it is among the few Smartphones that provide a long battery life.
Motorola has decided to omit the Android 4.4.3 version and go straight for the newest Android 4.4.4 KitKat build. This software version will bring prominent improvements, including a neat set of bug fixes and enhancements. Motorola has apparently added its own improvements, which covers camera performance, visual voicemail and ISIS mobile payment support.
The update will be of 285MB and will arrive soon. If you own a Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra or Droid Mini, then do share your views about the updated features in this new OS version.
